چکیده
This document contains additional material for the submission Procedural Isotropic Stochastic Textures by Example. Additional Results Figure 1 and figure 2 are extended versions of the corresponding figures in the paper. These figures also contain context photographs and additional results. In the paper we state that the method of Heeger and Bergen and our method achieve a similar synthesis quality. This is illustrated in figure 3. In the paper we state that our procedural textures can easily be integrated into production rendering software. This is illustrated in figure 4, which shows a screenshot of our method integrated into Autodesk Maya. In the paper we state that our procedural textures can easily be implemented as a GPU shader. This is illustrated in figure 5, which shows a screenshot of a procedural texture implemented as a GPU shader. Histogram Fitting Figure 6 shows a clearer version of the histogram and the fitted histogram (the splines) of the corresponding figure in the paper.

Isotropic Stochastic Procedural Textures by Example
Procedural textures have significant advantages over image textures. Procedural textures are compact, are resolution and size independent, often remove the need for a texture parameterization, can easily be parameterized and edited, and allow high quality antialiasing. However, creating procedural textures is more difficult than creating image textures. Creating procedural textures typically in...
متن کاملChaos Mosaic: Fast and Memory Efficient Texture Synthesis
We present a procedural method for synthesizing large textures from an input texture sample. The basis of our algorithm is the chaos mosaic, a technique for synthesizing textures with an even and visually stochastic distribution of the local features of the input sample. The chaos mosaic is fast. For synthesizing textures of the same size and comparable quality, our algorithm is orders of magni...
متن کاملBy-example Synthesis of Architectural Textures supplemental material
This additional material first shows more synthesis results in Section 5 and give further details and illustrates the way our synthesised textures are filtered in the GPU fragment shader in Section 1 While the main paper gives a complete description of our system for synthesizing architectural textures, there is also a number of small algorithmic improvements that build on the special nature of...
متن کاملGeneralized Stochastic Approach for Constitutive Equation in Linear Elasticity: A Random Matrix Model∗
This work is concerned with the construction of stochastic models for random elasticity matrices, allowing either for the generation of elasticity tensors exhibiting some material symmetry properties almost surely (integrating the statistical dependence between the random stiffness components), or for the modeling of random media that requires the mean of a stochastic anisotropy measure to be c...
متن کاملProcedural Wang Tile Algorithm for Stochastic Wall Patterns
The game and movie industries always face the challenge of reproducing materials. This problem is tackled by combining illumination models and various textures (painted or procedural patterns). Generating stochastic wall patterns is crucial in the creation of a wide range of backgrounds (castles, temples, ruins...). A specificWang tile set was introduced previously to tackle this problem, in a ...
